The Kerem Tunnel is the first bike tunnel in Israel and was inaugurated as part the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycling route around the capital.
The tunnel links Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. Its southern entrance is located below Ein Laban in Refaim Park. The northern entrance is found in Nahal Ein Kerem.
נווה פריצקי On Thursday, Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Zeev Elkin, Mayor Moshelion, Avi Baleshnikov, Gihon chairman and hundreds of cyclists attended a ceremony to officially open the tunnel’s 2.1-kilometer-long length.

Elkin’s Ministry, the Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality as well as the Gihon Corporation all contributed to the project. The Jerusalem Development Authority completed the work.
