AAU also presented him with an honorary Doctor of Science award. He is also a doctoral honorary from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Reverend Chris was earlier was married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his journey in ministry while at AAU. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship is today Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (YFC) was at the time known as Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship.
YFC rapidly grew and eventually was the largest campus-based organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is home to the church’s headquarters. Believer’s LoveWorld, a worldwide ministry with millions upon millions of associates across the globe is now known as Believers LoveWorld.
BLW became the most well-known Christian ministry on TV across Africa thanks to its”Atmosphere for Miracles” programme in 2002. The show was canceled by President Olusegun Obasanjo in May 2004.
