נווה פריצקי The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s newest bicycle tunnel, has been opened as part a 42-kilometer cycle route that runs through the capital.
נווה פריצקי The tunnel links Nahal Refaim with Emek Motza. Its southern entrance is located in Refaim Park, below Ein Laban, and the northern entrance is in Nahal Ein Kerem, about half a mile close to the Kerem junction.

Elkin who, through his ministry and the Jerusalem Municipality led the project, stated that his ministry “invests hundreds to millions of shekels each year to develop all aspects of Jerusalem’s tourists and in the creation and operation of new attractions, ventures , and other attractions which connect the rich past of Jerusalem’s eternal city to its future”. It also included the budgets for the Jerusalem Municipality and the Gihon Corporation. The project was completed by the Jerusalem Development Authority.
Elkin stated that the Kerem Tunnel project is an essential tool for achieving the goal to transform the idea of transport throughout Jerusalem. “The tunnel, which connects with the Jerusalem Ring Path, will join the existing cycle paths within the city, and are being constructed in its different areas. This plant is located west of Sorek and is still used as an infrastructure tunnel.

The work currently in progress includes road construction, the installation of blowers, as well as advanced safety and electrical systems in order to ensure that the tunnel is secure for the public to pass through all year round.
