By 2050, it will reach 9.7 million people.1 However, the area of land that could be used for agriculture in the world isn’t growing as fast as we are. This poses serious challenges for farmers who have to produce enough food of high quality to feed Canadians as well as other people all over the world.

Canada is currently ranked 5th in the world’s food exports.2 Canadian farmers will play an important role in supplying the food we need. They will need to be able to cater to increased demands.

Farmers aren’t able to meet this increasing demand all on their own. Modern technology, such as herbicides and glyphosate can be used to aid farmers in controlling weeds efficiently and effectively. This results in the sustainability of a stable and sustainable food supply.

What is glyphosate? How is it used?
