Fico Gutierrez continues its victory in the eyes of voters. The campaign is in advanced stages in Boyaca including the visit to Virgin of Chiquinquira

Presidential candidate Federico Gutierrez is clear that votes are gathered on the streets. And he’s got just 32 days left until the next presidential election, where Gutierrez is expected to be competing against Gustavo Petro for the House of Narino’s quota.

Gutierrez was up early on Saturday morning to Boyaca, a religious department in accordance with tradition. It was also the place that, Petro visited this Friday. The former mayor of Medellin was in the process of running for president of the right-center. He visited Tunja and met with farmers, academics, peasants and businessmen.

Fico was in the Tunja Convention Center where he assembled a significant group of citizens, who supported him at May 29’s polls.

Federico posted his Twitter clip with ruana along with hundreds colombians behind him as the candidate for the Team for Colombia. Federico declared: “We’re Going to Win. In the midst all the attention paid to his followers, as well as the faithful waiting for the morning Eucharist the head of the centre-right knelt to the Virgin and laid his hands upon the Mary’s breast.

“I requested wisdom from the Virgin. He told me that he asked for his help to my family as well as for all families in Colombia.

The presidential candidate was recorded on video at the site. Before he entered, he shook hands with several inhabitants of the area who embraced him and also donned the uniform of the Colombian municipality.

Gutierrez arrived wearing the traditional Boyacan red ruana, as well as the medal of the Virgin of Chiquinquira upon his chest. It is a sign of faith that he has been using during his campaign. It is worth noting that three weeks ago the Antioquian traveled to Jericho, Antioquia, and gathered at the birthplace of Mother Laura, the only Colombian saint recently canonized by Pope Francis.

Gutierrez will contact Colombians to let them know about his plan for government and strive to be a positive influence in the forthcoming elections on Sunday, May 29.
