Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 of the 7 of December 1973, to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first child of the family. After his primary and second education, he attended Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where was awarded an BSc. in Architecture.

While still attending AAU, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his path into the field of ministry. At the time the Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship, which is now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated was known as Youths For Christ (YFC).
YFC grew quickly and became the largest campus group. Chris Oyakhilome In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the home of the church’s headquarters. Believer’s LoveWorld is a worldwide ministry which has thousands of associates across the world.
Through the 2002 environment for miracles programme, BLW rose to prominence as an Christian ministry on TV in Africa. The program was canceled in May 2004 when the president Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria announced that churches should cease airing miracles.
Pastor Chris’s Ministry includes four arms including publishing ministry for healing and teaching on television, as well as a television ministry for TV. The Future Africa Leaders Foundation has been set up to research and enhance the potential for leadership of Africans. The foundation celebrates, recognizes and supports young Africans who are exemplary leaders by positively impacting their generation.
