Pastor Chris Oyakhilome grew up on the 7 thDecember 1973. He was the first in his family to be born. After his first and second education, he went to Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where he received an BSc. in Architecture. AAU also awarded him an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Reverend Chris was once married to Anita Obhodaghe, and they are blessed with two children.

While in AAU, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a pupil. He began exploring ministry while still in AAU. Oyakhilome The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship was known at the time as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC rapidly grew and eventually became the largest campus fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. The church’s headquarters is in Lagos. Believer’s LoveWorld is an international ministry that has thousands of members and associates all around the world.

BLW became the most well-known Christian ministry on television across Africa through its atmosphere for miracles programme in 2002. They stopped airing the program in the month of May 2004 after the then President of Nigeria – President Olusegun Obasanjo announced that churches should not air miracles on television.
