Chris Oyakhilome: Biography of the President of Christ Embassy Church

Chris Oyakhilome (Nigeria) is a pastor, television host and writer. He is the President of Believers’ World Incorporated which is also known as Christ Embassy International.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is the first Oyakhilome’s son, having been born to Tim Oyakhilome and Chris Oyakhilome on 7 th December 1973. After his primary and second education, he enrolled in Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where the university awarded him a BSc. in Architecture.

AAU also conferred him an honourary Doctor of Science. Oyakhilome He is also an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was earlier was married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

Chris Oyakhilome’s ministry
While still studying at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began to get involved in the ministry. The Believers’ LoveWorld fellowship which is now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated, was at the time called Youths For Christ.

YFC has seen rapid growth and was the largest campus-based fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the church’s main office. Oyakhilome Believer’s LoveWorld is now a global ministry with millions of members and associates all around the world.

BLW was the most well-known Christian ministry on television across Africa through its atmosphere for miracles programme in 2002. They stopped airing the programme in May of 2004, when the president of the time, Nigeria – Olusegun Obasanjo announced that the country’s president had resigned Olusegun Obasanjo announced that churches should cease airing miracles on TV.

Pastor Chris’s Ministry comprises four different branches: publishing ministry; healing ministry; television ministry and teaching ministry. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Through participatory and sustainable interventions The foundation aids families and children who are in need. These include child development programmes for childcare, family strengthening programmes as well as InnerCity Mission for Children School.

Trauma Care International Foundation

The Trauma Care International Foundation was established to enhance the quality of life and general health of communities and countries by encouraging better emergency response services for accidents and emergencies. The foundation plans to accomplish this feat by educating the public about health as well as advocacy and community-based initiatives while aiming to provide support for national policies regarding trauma treatment.
