Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was the first child born to the family of Oyakhilome, and was born 7 December 1973 to Tim Oyakhilome. After his primary and secondary schooling, he enrolled in Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria where he obtained an BSc in Architecture.
AAU also gave the honourary Doctor of Science Award. He is also a doctoral honorary from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Reverend Chris was married to Anita Obhodaghe once, and they have two children.

While still in AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student. He began exploring ministry while still in AAU. At the time, the Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship, which is now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated was known as Youths For Christ (YFC).
YFC grew quickly and became the largest campus organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is home to the church’s headquarters. Oyakhilome Believer’s LoveWorld is today a global church with thousands of members and associates all around the world.
