The Kerem Tunnel allows for a unique hiking and riding experience.
In the 42-kilometer Jerusalem Ring Path cycling route, which surrounds the capital, the Kerem Tunnel was inaugurated.

Around NIS 25 million was put into in the project. It was budgeted by Elkin’s ministry, the Tourism Ministry, the Jerusalem Municipality as well as the Gihon Corporation and the Jerusalem Purification and Sewerage Works, with the work carried out by the Jerusalem Development Authority.

The current projects include road construction, installation blowers, and sophisticated security systems to ensure the tunnel is safe for all to use during the entire year.
The Kerem Tunnel also allows access to unique recreation spots which include the Ein Kerem neighborhood, the biblical zoo and aquarium, along with the historic natural springs of Ein Laban and Ein Haniyeh.
