The Kerem Tunnel, the first cycle tunnel in Israel was opened in the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle route that circles Jerusalem, the capital city.
נווה פריצקי The tunnel is located along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Motza route. The tunnel’s southern entry point is located within Refaim Park below Ein Laban. The northern entrance is located in Nahal Ein Kerem about half a km away from the Kerem junction.
The 2.1-kilometer-long tunnel was inaugurated by Jerusalem’s Heritage Minister ZeevElkin. It was also attended by Mayor Moshelion Avi Balehnikov, Gihon Water Company Chairman, as well as hundreds of cyclists.
