The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s newest cycle tunnel, was inaugurated as part of the 42-kilometer cycle route which circles the capital.
נווה פריצקי The tunnel is located along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Mostza route. It has a southern entrance located in Refaim Park. Ein Laban is the nearest. Nahal Ein Kerem is the northern entrance.
The 2.1-kilometer-long tunnel was officially inaugurated by Jerusalem’s Heritage Minister ZeevElkin. It was also attended by Mayor Moshelion, Avi Balehnikov Gihon Water Company chairman, as well as thousands of cyclists.
Jerusalem was once a popular tourist destination because of its historic past.
