The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s newest cycle tunnel, was opened as part a 42-kilometer cycle route that circles the capital.
It connects Nahal Refaim to Emek Motza. נווה פריצקי נווה פריצקי The southern entrance of the tunnel is beneath Ein Laban in Refaim Park. The northern entrance can be found in Nahal Ein Kerem.

Elkin declared that the Kerem Tunnel project was a key tool in realizing the vision of altering the way of transportation throughout Jerusalem. “The tunnel, which will connect with the Jerusalem Ring Path, will join the existing cycle paths within the city, as well as those that will be paved within its different neighborhoods. It is designed to encourage bicycling within the city’s residents and promote a green transportation revolution in Jerusalem.”

The current works include road construction, the installation of blowers and advanced electrical and safety systems, in order to ensure that the tunnel is secure for pedestrians to travel through at all times of the year.
The Kerem Tunnel also allows access to unique recreation spots which include the Ein Kerem neighborhood, the biblical zoo and aquarium, along with the historic natural springs of Ein Laban and Ein Haniyeh. נווה פריצקי
